It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Edward Dortch of Franklin, Kentucky, who passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Donald shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Donald farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Dortch and Kathryn Johnson Dortch; his wife Susan Lynn Dortch; and his brother Kerry Dortch. He is survived by: his daughter Rosie Rister; his grandchildren, Kristina Miller (Cody), Samantha Pedigo (Tommy), Victoria Waller and Jesse Riser; and his great grandchildren, Elliott and Everly. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
