He was predeceased by: his parents, Foster Melvin Lumpkin, Sr. and Doris Ralston (Neeley). He is survived by: his spouse Sissie Lumpkin; his children, Foster Matthew Lumpkin, Sr. (Sarah) of Franklin, KY and Rebecca Ann Dawson of Frankfort, KY; his grandchildren, Jazzmyn Dover (Cortlin), Foster Matthew Lumpkin, Jr. (Jerika), Jocelyn Martinez, Gabriel Lumpkin, Rubi, Jonathan Calderon, Selvin Flores, Michael and Shyann Dawson; and his brothers, Darren Lumpkin and Sonny Ralston (Michelle). He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
