With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Glenda VanDyke Taylor of Franklin, Kentucky, born in Memphis, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 20, 2026 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her husband Cordell Thomas Taylor; her parents, Joe Cooke VanDyke, Sr. and Charlotte "Mono" VanDyke (Locke); and her brother Joe Cooke VanDyke, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Vonda Fowke (Mike) of Irmo, SC and Valerie Herndon (Brad) of Hendersonville, TN; her sister-in-law Rita VanDyke of Florence, AL; her nephews, Will VanDyke (Susan) and Doug VanDyke (Brandi); her sisters-in-law, Anita Joor and Barbara Smith; and her cousin Bob White (J. C. West). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nieces.
