He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Allen Melvin and Dorothy Gerladine Sullivan Melvin; and his brother Terry Melvin. He is survived by: his wife Mary Melvin of Franklin; his son Christopher Melvin of Franklin; his brother Danny Melvin (Trina) of Pikeville, KY; and his grandson Austin Melvin. He is also survived by 2 great grandsons along with several nieces and one nephew.
