He was predeceased by: his parents, Melville Anderson and Lola Ruth King (Lambirth); and his siblings, Earl King (Margaret), Vernon King and Mary Louise King.

He is survived by: his wife Amelia "Mae" King (Bischof); his sons, Kevin Wayne King (Melinda "Mindi" Hunter) of Ostrander, OH and James "Kelly" King (Kelly Jean Baldwin) of Hopkinsville, KY; his sister-in-law Betty King of Franklin, KY; and his grandchildren, Luke King, Caleb King, Gabriel King, Teresa King, Isaac King, Thaddeus King, Andrew King (Lexy), Anna King, Amelia King, Aiden King and Alayna King. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory (325 W Cedar St, Franklin, KY 42134). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Franklin-Simpson High School, FFA Chapter in Harry's memory.
