He is survived by: his wife Shirley Johnson Ferrel of Franklin; and his children, Kathy Dawson (Dave) of Portland, TN, Steven Charles Ferrel of Kansas and David C. Ferrel (Mariam) of Texas. He is also survived by 2 half sisters; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
