He was predeceased by: his parents, Penny Richards and Chester Freas Richards; his son Eric Richards; and his brothers, James, Bob and Gene Richards.
He is survived by: his son Kevin Richards (Divina); his close friend Brenda Buckingham of Franklin; his daughters, Angie Simmons (Shane) of Georgia, Lisa Rodgers (Todd) of Georgia and Pam Bilyeu (Eric) of Logan County; his siblings, Judy Jackson (James) of Springfield, TN, Linda Dorris (Steve) of Franklin, Tom Richards (Jean) of Adairville, Donald Richards (Mary Kay) of Springfield, TN, Jerry Richards (Linda) of Georgia and Lewis Richards of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Eric Richards, Anna Marie Richards, Andre Richards, Georgia Ann, Luke, Alex, Haley, Kyla and Thomas; his great grandchildren, Aurora and Lola; and his pet Hawkeye. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
