With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melvin Minor Chapman of Franklin, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 28, 2025 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Chapman and Lillian Chapman (Janey); his wife Norma Chapman (Karnik); his son Billy Chapman; and his siblings, Daniel, Darrell, Harold, Ray, Shirley, Linda, Betty, Faye and Ruth.
He is survived by: his daughter Martha Neiswanger (Jack) of Franklin, KY; his grandsons, John Neis (Gina) of Elmhurst, IL and Jason Neiswanger of Huntsville, AL; his great grandchildren, Lucas and Vincent; his sisters, Marie Hedrick of Huntington and Bonnie Breedlove (Jerry) of Huntington, WV; and his nephew Nick Karnik. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
