Pearl Reese Richardson Obituary
Mrs. Pearl R. Richardson, age 97, of Franklin, KY passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 2:16 AM at the Hopkins Nursing Facility in Woodburn, KY.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will continue on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with burial to follow in Old Brush Cemetery in Portland, TN.
Pearl was born on December 9, 1926 in Gallatin, TN to the late Albert Gilmore Creek and the late Nannie Gertrude (Lee) Creek. She was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Margaret "Margie" Elizabeth (Nanny) Creek; Husband, Luke C. Richardson; 9 Siblings, William "Jack" Harlis Creek, Paul Anderson Creek, Charles Franklin Bowles, Nellie Ann Creek Calvert, Pauline Milton Glasscock, Albert Edward Creek, Thomas Edward Creek, J.W. Creek, Goldie Lucille Ward, and Robert Gene Creek.
She is survived by her 2 children, Wanda Estes (John), of Franklin, KY and Wendell Richardson of Franklin, KY; 3 grandchildren, Jonathan Sampson (Becky), Brian Estes (Jamie) and Amanda Marlin (Caleb); 4 great-grandchildren, C.J. Sampson, Dillon Sampson, Bree Estes and Bubba Estes; 14 great-great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Ruth Ann Watkins (Arlon) of Auburn, KY; and many nieces and nephews.
Pearl was a member of Woodburn Baptist Church in Woodburn, KY. Through the years, she visited a number of churches. Pearl enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, and babysitting.
