It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard C. Shepherd of Franklin, Kentucky, who passed away on October 19, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bea Shepherd (Grimsley) and Roy Shepherd. He is survived by: his wife Linda Shepherd; his children, Kelli Harvey (Jeff) of Franklin, KY, Kimmye Bohannon (Dennis) of Lexington, KY, Curt Fleming Florence (Patti) and Chandler Shepherd (McKense) of Russellville, KY; his grandchildren, Grant Harvey (Rachel), Cade Harvey (Emma), Annie Bohannon, Ellen Bohannon, Taylor Harvey, Denny Bohannon, Riley Shepherd, Piper Shepherd, Conner Kramer and Alex Fleming; and his great grandchild Sutton Harvey.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Franklin First Baptist Church (303 E Cedar St, Franklin, KY 42134). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at the Sulphur Spring Cemetery (2504 Sulphur Springs Church Rd, Franklin, KY 42134).
