He was predeceased by: his parents, John Fannin and Emma Fannin of Majestic Kentucky; and his siblings, Ruby Charles (Clyde), Ruth Bedsaul (Mack), Thelma Fannin, Ernestine Sanders (Claude Jr), Ralph Fannin (Julia), Jack Fannin (Evelyn) and Clyde Fannin.

He is survived by: his wife Ruby Fannin (Hamilton); his siblings-in-law, Claude Sanders Junior of Lawrenceburg and Evelyn Fannin of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; his children, Kimberly Jo Thacker (Thaniel), Gregory Kent Fannin (Robin), Robert Kerry Fannin (Susie) and Kelli Ann Thompson (Larry); and his grandchildren, Erika Dotson (Ryan), Jodi Patrick (Ronald), Jarrod Thacker (Jordan), Corey Fannin (Brianna), Chelsea Coleman (Nate), Taryn Guerra (Stephen) and Robert "Bobby" Fannin. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
