He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Bell Connell and Maggie Norene Carlton Connell; his wife Janice Rothman Connell; his daughters, Donna Dean and Cathy Hazlewood; and his siblings, Thomas Carlton Connell, James Harold Connell, Margaret Connell Sanford, Bonnie Ruth Connell Cruce and Majorie Connell.
He is survived by: his daughter Susan Finch of Union City, TN; and his pet Baxter Connell. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
