He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Melton and Cora Ethel Smith Melton; his brothers, Noble Melton (Mary), Smith Melton (Margaret) and Leon Melton; his nephews, Vernon Melton (Shirley) and Gary Melton (Norma); and his great-nephew Bobby Melton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Andrea Sikes and Connie Vowell (Kirk); his sister-in-law Katherine Henderson (Larry); his grandson Johnny Jamison (Morgan); his great grandchildren, Macy and Coleman Jamison; his nephews, Mike Melton (Paula), Jim Melton (Tammy), David, Paul Melton, Tommy Greer (Margaret), Jimmy Greer (Debra) and Kent Greer (Marina); his wife Mae Melton; his sons-in-law, Larry Jamison and Duane Sikes; his brother-in-law Thomas Greer; and his nephew Brent Greer.
