He was predeceased by: his parents, Chrystell Watts Murrell Pursell and Ted Pursell; and his sisters, Mary Lee Swift, Beverly Nell Myers, Sylvia Ann Altgilbers and Trecia Pursell Dalton.
He is survived by: his son Richie Pursell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
