He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Mitchell and Willa Dean "Deanie" Spear (Hale); and his brother James Mitchell Spear. He is survived by: his son Jason Lee Spear (Jessica) of Mount Juliet, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Kinlee Sarah Spear and Cameron James Spear; and his caregivers, Jessie and Cindy Pruitt.
