It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Short of Garner, Kentucky, who passed away on March 13, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dow Short and Dovie Huff Short; and his brothers, Clinton Short and Rondell Short. He is survived by: his fiancée Betty Mosley; his children, Natasha Campbell (Bret Martin Jr.), Debbie Sturgill, Cari Leigh Moore (Ronnie Darrell Slone), Sheila Stamper (Hastel) and David Wayne Short; his siblings, Emil Short, Boyd Short, Palmer Short (Deb), Gracie Pouget, Rosetta Pratt and Nancy Craft; his grandchildren, JD, Justin, Aurora, Ariel, Hunter, Halen (McKenna) and Shelbie (Chandler); and his great grandchild Everleigh.
