She was predeceased by: her parents, Susan Smith and Rochelle Sidney; her son Mark Sidney; and her grandson Kendall Summers. She is survived by: her husband Leo Spears; her children, Rosalind Downey, Sybil Ann Burton (Barry), Matrista Allen, William D. Christopher (Kawana) and Corneil "Pooh" Allen; her grandchildren, Stewart, Cameron, Fernando, Teri, Kineta, Dezmond, Jordan, Damon, Darrell, Cherish, Anyla, Cayden and Urijah; her sister Julia Mae Sidney Goldston; her cousin Joyce Nichols; her nephew Darnell Christopher; and her friend Monty Jackson. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
