He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowry Smith and Mildred Smith; and his wife Margie. He is survived by: his children, Dale Smith, Jr. (Cindy) of Alabama, Don King (Deb) of Oklahoma, Joe King (Kim) of Danville, KY, Randy King, Marshall King (Michelle) of Nicholasville, Deana Smith Andrew of Madison, IN and Donna Taylor (Terry) of Hanover, IN; his sisters, Dorothy Horine, Mary Gorman and Mildred Thomas; his grandchildren, Casey Taylor Shepherd, Kyle Taylor, Crystal Nowles, Jacob Dale Smith and Camille Andrew Norris; his siblings, Lowry A. Smith Jr., Arlo Dean Smith, Merlin Walton Smith, Charles Edward Smith, Robert Earl Smith, Margaret Rose Smith and Donna Cox; and his grandson Cody R. Andrew. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home (320 W Main St, Georgetown, KY 40324). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Georgetown Cemetery (710 S Broadway St, Georgetown, KY 40324).
