He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Clarence Sr. and Barbara Jean Ray; and his children, Aaron Lee Ray, Erica Lee Ray and Keith Garrett.

He is survived by: his wife Irris Rayjean Ray; his children, Janay Collins (Joe), Kristopher Burden, Xavier Newby, Cassius Ray and Ace Ray; his siblings, Joseph Clarence Ray Jr., Paris, James Aaron Ray (Mary Jo) and Olivia Maria Custard; and his grandchildren, Joseph B. Henry Madison Jr., Jace Lee Madison, Keoni Burden, Myssiah Doneghy, Kelyani Burden and Emmett Reese. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
