He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Edwin Pascal Alyea and Nancy Anderson Alyea. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ann; his children, Sarah Harty of Houston and Dr. Edwin P. Alyea III (Carolyn E. Donovan) of Durham; and his grandchildren, Katherine Harty Morris (Brandon), Stephen Burgess Harty, Edwin Patrick Alyea, Grace Elisabeth Alyea and Ethan Pascal Alyea.
