We announce the death of Elizabeth Masters Hester (Georgetown, Kentucky), who passed away on September 15, 2026, at the age of 97. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Woods Hester Sr.; her parents, Albert Franklin and Stella Goe Masters; and her siblings, Albert Franklin Masters, Jr., Halmire Masters, Eloise Mackey and Norma Holbrook.
She is survived by: her children, Carrie Johnson and Robert Hester, Jr. (Betty); her grandchildren, Sarah Johnson Price, Christopher Johnson (Tara), Lauren Lynch (Josh) and Michael Hester (Grace); and her brother Bill Masters. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Johnson's Funeral Home (641 S Broadway St, Georgetown, KY 40324). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Episcopal Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity, 209 S. Broadway, Georgetown, KY, or Burgin Christian Church, PO Drawer D, Burgin, KY 40310.
