Horace Hambrick MD Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Horace Hambrick MD (Georgetown, Kentucky), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 5, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maribeth Porter Hambrick and Dr. Horace T. Hambrick; and his parents-in-law, Phyllis Rae Henry McGinley and William LeRoy McGinley. He is survived by: his wife Willow; his children, Logan Christi Hambrick, Esquire (Kenya), Reverend Amanda Rae Hambrick (New York City), Dr. Erin Porter Hambrick of Kansas City, MO, Gentry Blair Hambrick (Georgetown) and Dr. Horace Rhodes Hambrick (Chicago); his grandchildren, Amie Rae Katta, Abdimalik Rhodes Majid, Adan Henry Majid, Levi Davis Hambrick Ashcraft, Zane Porter Hambrick Ashcraft, Skyler Rae Hambrick Ashcraft, Larkin Bellatrix Hambrick Ashcraft, Avery Blair Brawner and Rye Danford Brawner; and his sister Mary Burch Ratliff. He is also survived by in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was a volunteer faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics at UK, served on the Wedco Health Department Board, the Scott County Health Department, and the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky Community Advisory Board.
