He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice McClintock Raney and George Raney; and his brother Richard Raney. He is survived by: his wife Rita Montgomery Raney; his children, David Raney (Brooke) of Georgetown and Susan Garrett (Dan) of Batavia, Illinois; his grandchildren, Lauren Raney (Cody Daniels), Zachary Garrett and Jenna Garrett; and his sister Karen Lamb of Michigan.
