With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jeff Edward Matthews (Georgetown, Kentucky), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 7, 2025 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Elizabeth Steward Matthews and Dee Matthews. He is survived by: his wife Nida Jean Matthews; his children, Shawn Matthews of Ohio, Roxanne MacLean of Lexington and Wes Ridner of Michigan; his grandchildren, John MacLean, Jacob MacLean, Joshua MacLean, Lora Blythe (Jesse) and Marilynn Matthews; his great grandchild Alexandria MacLean; his great great grandchild Weston Mattox; his brothers, Joe Matthews of Ohio and Gene Matthews of Ohio; and his friends, Terry Tutt, Johnny Flynn and Lisa Colallela.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home (320 W Main St, Georgetown, KY 40324). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North (205 Eibeck Ln, Williamstown, KY 41097).
