He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Elizabeth Steward Matthews and Dee Matthews. He is survived by: his wife Nida Jean Matthews; his children, Shawn Matthews of Ohio, Roxanne MacLean of Lexington and Wes Ridner of Michigan; his grandchildren, John MacLean, Jacob MacLean, Joshua MacLean, Lora Blythe (Jesse) and Marilynn Matthews; his great grandchild Alexandria MacLean; his great great grandchild Weston Mattox; his brothers, Joe Matthews of Ohio and Gene Matthews of Ohio; and his friends, Terry Tutt, Johnny Flynn and Lisa Colallela.
