He was predeceased by: his mother Christine Bullock Day of Cumberland. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Day; his children, Jeremy Day (Emily) and Jessica Day Bush (Joey); his grandchildren, Emily Day, Riley Bush, Brooklyn Marks, Blake Hernandez-Paynter, Brayden Marks and Adrian Hernandez-Paynter; his siblings, Judy Lusk (Dale), Anita Miller (Chris) and Mark "Bo" Day; his extended family Joyce Boring (Harold); Joel.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests honoring Joel through donations to Masonic Homes of Kentucky or on behalf of his grandson Brayden with the Dravet Syndrome foundation.
