He is survived by: his sons, Sean Owens and Connor Owens; the mother of his children Kathy Owens; his grandson Cason Owens; his sisters, Iveagh Lehmann and Ondine Owens; his stepmother Janet Owens; his stepbrothers, Todd Melnik and Jeffrey Melnik; and his brother Choon Seung Ham.
In recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the college, Bruce was inducted into the Georgetown College Athletic Hall of Fame on May 21, 2022.
