He is survived by: his wife Frances Murlene South Benson; his children, Ron Benson and Julie Westerfield; his sister Ann Hunter; his grandsons, Brian Benson (Candy) and Jason Benson; and his great grandchildren, Cameron, Amara and Emma Benson.
