He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Edgar and Alma Post Ray; and his brothers, Donald Ray and Jim Ray. He is survived by: his wife Janet Miller Ray; his children, Valerie J Hughes (Rick) and Jeff Ray (Diana); his sisters, Patty Hale Smith, Brenda Corvin and Darlene Parks; his grandchildren, Jessica Adams and Travis Ray; his stepgranddaughter Amber Curran; his great grandchildren, Audrey Elizabeth Ray and Layla Grace Ray; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Annalise and Braydon Rice.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care or American Legion Post 24.
