He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Bartley Evans; his son Derick Austin Evans; and his siblings, Pamela Bonham (John), Hershell "Bug" Evans, Jr. (Brenda), Richard "Blue" Evans (Bobbie Jean), Timothy Evans (Christy) and Jodey Evans (Heather).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Living Waters Fellowship (172 Gunnell Rd, Georgetown, KY 40324). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Georgetown Cemetery (710 S Broadway St, Georgetown, KY 40324).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Living Waters Fellowship, Bluegrass Hospice Care, Gideon's International or Disabled American Veterans. Consider a donation, as requested by the family.
