He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Barnes and Mary Alice Sowder Barnes; and his brothers, Joe Edd Barnes and Billy Ray Barnes. He is survived by: his wife Connie S. Elliott of Georgetown, KY; his children, Lorie Barnes of Oregonia, OH and Kyle Barnes (Angela) of Georgetown, KY; his grandchildren, Caleb, Noah, Jacob and Ava Barnes; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Barnes, June Smith, Imogene Renner and Donna Hines.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Marvin E Owens Home. A burial will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at the Piney Grove Cemetery.
