He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Harrod and Annie Laura Sears Ward; and his siblings, Frank Ward, Ed Ward, Jim Ward, Frances Martin and Annie Case.
He is survived by: his wife Sue McDowell Ward; his children, Lisa Wright, Amy Walker (Timothy), Sam Clay Ward Jr. and John Daniel Ward (Stephanie); and his siblings, John Allen Ward, Anne Humphrey (Jerry) and Mary Elizabeth Synder. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Corinth Christian Church (900 Skinnersburg Rd, Stamping Ground, KY 40379). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
