She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Souder and Ruth Gaugh Souder; her husband Charles Edward Thompson; and her brothers, Bryan and Barton Souder.

She is survived by: her sons, Charles Andrew Thompson (Kelli) of Georgetown and John Thompson of Raeford; her granddaughters, Sydney Parker (Will), Andrea Brown (Quinn), Jada Thompson, Mya Thompson and Whitney Thompson; and her great grandchildren, Adonis and Kacey.
