He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Andy and Bessie Skinner Lay; and his siblings, Hubert, Russell Thomas Lay, Lucinda Delaney, Janie Royalty, Ora Ellen Halfhill and Ioma Beckham.
He is survived by: his children, Janet Jones (Dennis), David Lay, James Lay (Marsha), Mark Lay and John Lay (Crystal). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Johnson's Funeral Home (641 S Broadway St, Georgetown, KY 40324). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Corinth Cemetery.
