She was predeceased by: her father James Rardin; her siblings, Barbara Curry, Wanda Clark, Stanley "Eugene" Baker and William Baker; and her birth mother Hazel Webb.

She is survived by: her mother Gladys Metz Gray (Samuel); her daughter Sylvia Kidwell (Zachary); her grandchildren, Dasan Boone, Zarya Kidwell, Josiah Mickey, Cylus Griffin and Phoenix Kidwell; and her siblings, Michael Rardin, Everett "Dale" Thomas, Minnie Lee, Elizabeth "Gayle" Carroll, Linda Allen, Judy Miles, Mary Jo Welford and Lori Boots.

Winnie left a legacy of hope as her final act of caring for others through the gift of life by organ, eye, and tissue donation.
