He is survived by: his children, Eric Smith (Cindy), John "JJ" Smith, Jr. (Samantha), Jeannie Smith, Melissa Swafford (Rodney) and Anna Beard (Greg); his siblings, Harold Smith (Debra), Jerry Smith, Ralph Smith (Shelby), Donnie Smith (Lynn), Doug Smith (Diane) and Judy Baker; his grandchildren, Allison Lebron (Alex), Logan Jackson (Brittany), Devin Jackson, Sarah Garrison (Andrew), Ryleigh Swafford (Bryson), Jayme Swafford, Jaxon Smith, Jase Smith, Erika Daniels (Jordan), Brady Smith, James Smith (Tia), Cami Smith, Holly Smith and Jeffrey Smith; and his great grandchildren, Ruby Lebron, Miller Garrison, Mila Jackson, Lennon Jackson, Remy Jackson, Ezra Smith, Dawson Smith and Reedy Joe Smith.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hopper Funeral Home (302 N Broadway, Barbourville, KY 40906). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 6:15 PM at the Henry Mills Cemetery.
