He was predeceased by: his parents, Haskel Burgess and Vic C. Agers Burgess; his daughter Denise Michele Burgess (Katherine Brown); his brother-in-law Bobby Brown; and his niece Judy McCoy.
He is survived by: his son Steven Burgess (Melinda); his grandchildren, Chase Dyer, Hunter Walden, Lane Burgess (Candace) and Logan Walden (Jessica); and his nephew Harold Brown (Melissa). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
