He was predeceased by: his parents, Curt Shirley and Laura Janes Shirley; and his siblings, Roy Shirley, Bobby Shirley, James Shirley, Earl Dunham Shirley, Paul David Shirley, Dee Burris and Pauline Shirley.

He is survived by: his children, Brandon Shirley (Jamie) and Ashley Vibbert (Jessie); his grandchildren, Tyler Shirley, Corbin Vibbert, Connor Vibbert and Cassidy Vibbert; and his siblings, Junior Shirley (Shirley), Fred Shirley (Jeaniene), Philip Shirley (Margaret), Christine Bennett and Brenda Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home (801 N Race St, Glasgow, KY 42141). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
