He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Blackston Wilson and Lillie Pearl Riddle Wilson; his wife Sarah Lou Church Wilson; his siblings, Irene Schmidt (Howard), Harold Wilson, Lee Wilson (Virginia), Chester Wilson (Helen) and Tommy Wilson (Sue); and his brothers-in-law, Johnny Barrick and Earl Propupek.
He is survived by: his children, Richard C. "Ricky" Wilson and Missy Staples; his grandchildren, Sarah Reneau and Taylor Staples (Dillon Gordon); and his sisters, Sarah Barrick and Cynthia Propupek. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
