He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Ashford and Kimmel Parrish Owens; his son Christopher Allen Ashford; his brother Tommy Ashford; and his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Ashford and Larry Stice.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Ashford; his grandchildren, Kaelin Francis, Taylor Ashford, Jonathan Britt (Crystal), Zoe Francis and Chloe Francis; his siblings, Kaye Roemer (Jamie), Tera Stice and Bucky Owens; his uncle Gary; and his aunt Sue Jenkins. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
