He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Denton and Nina Ruth McPherson (Jones); and his siblings, Janet McPherson Hodges (Gary) and Terrell McPherson. He is survived by: his children, Shawn McPherson (Susan) of Scottsville, Shane McPherson (Shaun) of Tompkinsville and Shara Page (Chris) of Glasgow; his grandchildren, Shawna Rohling (Corey), Samantha McPherson, Shelby Tade (Jake), Sally McPherson (Will Howard), Chandler McPherson (Ashton), Cade McPherson (Kelsie Langford), Chesney McPherson, Garrison Page (Hailey), Acey Page and Ashton Page; his great grandchildren, Easton Tade, Maddie Tade, Quinton Rohling, Wyatt Rohling and Hagan McPherson; and the mother of his children Rebekah Hagan McPherson.
