He is survived by: his wife Betty Reece Herbert (Betsy); his children, Henry Jefferson Herbert (Mia), Larry Andrew Reece (Lindsay), Angela Reece Butler (Brian), Hiram Jefferson Herbert, III and Nancy Anne Kilgore; his grandchildren, Jefferson Gage Parker (Destiny), Garrett Reece Parker, Nicole Berry Stanforth (Greg) and Henry Li Herbert; his sister-in-law Sue Savage Schmidt; his niece Jamie Garrett Howard (David); and his nephew James Michael Garrett (Robin).
