He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Hatfield and Donella Mae Tibbs Rupe; his wife Beverly Stinnett-Hatfield; and his half-siblings, William Herbert Hatfield (Rhonda), Elaine Moore and Nora Rupe Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Tony Wood (Tabitha), Eddie Paul Wood (Tammy) and Kristy Smith (Kenneth); his grandchildren, Johnny Dale Wood, Lacey Wood, Brayden Wood (Madison), Kelsey Rich, Ty Rich, Jacksyn Wood, Konagher Smith (Ashley), Bruce Blakenship (Heather), Kory Dean Smith and Nicholas Smith; his great grandchildren, Tatum Wood, Sawyer Wood, Elainna Shockley, Dawson Smith, Lincoln Smith, Jacob Wilson, Makayla Blankenship and Brandee Blankship; his cousins, William "Billy" S. Hatfield (Patty) and Kenneth Harold Hatfield (Julie); and his friends, Gary Minor (Kathy) and Donna Hester. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home (201 E Washington St, Glasgow, KY 42141). A burial will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at the Hatfield Family Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Kentucky School of Bluegrass and Traditional Music.
