He was predeceased by: his parents, James Raymond Bowles and Velma Mae Bowles; his wife Gloria Jean Hawks; his sisters, Louise Bowles Turner and Naomi Bowles Morgan; and his son Mark Douglas Bowles.
He is survived by: his children, Kendall Bowles (Stonetta) and Janet Bowles; his granddaughters, Amanda Piercy (Jamie) and Lindsey Link (Jonathan); and his sister Maynell Kidd. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the A. F Crow & Son Funeral Home (201 E Washington St, Glasgow, KY 42141). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
