He is survived by: his children, John Clinton Poteet, IV (Misty), Chastity Wallace (Joshua) and Ellis "Bo" Carnhan; his grandchildren, Alex Poteet, Katie Poteet, Mya Wallace, Addilyn Wallace, Waylon Wallace, Emma Carnhan, Hannah Carnhan and Mason Carnhan; and his sisters, Karen Thompson (Emmett Barnett) and Christie Creek. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
