He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul Turner McGuire and Lucille Shader McGuire; his brother-in-law Steve Starr; and his stepchildren, Melissa Kilbourne and Michael Walden.

He is survived by : his wife Charlotte Groce McGuire; his sister Ann Starr; his stepdaughter Rhonda Morrison (Chris); his stepson-in-law Andy Kilbourne; his nephews, Brian Starr (Cathy) and Timothy Starr (Ashley); his great-nephews, Blake and Drew Starr; and his aunt Rebecca Carey.
