He was predeceased by: his parents, William Orbie and Lula Bell Staples Whitlow; and his brother Donnie. He is survived by: his children, Christopher Eddie Whitlow (Tabbitha) and Cristy Renee Vibbert (Wesley); his grandchildren, Dalton, Logan, Weston, Kamen, Kelsey and Regan; and his siblings, David, Jimmy, Billy, Doris, Diana, Beverly and Lisa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
