He is survived by: his wife Connie Sturdivant Wells; his children, Wes Shipley (Chasity), Matthew Shipley (Lindsay), Kyle Vincent and Alexandra Wells (Garrett Vereen); his grandchildren, Scarlett, Roman, Lily and Nolan Shipley; his sisters, Jeanne Travis (Joe) of Somerset and Barbara Kramer (Jack) of Louisville; and his cousin Wells Richardson of Bowling Green. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
