Ruby Susan Thompson Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on February 1, 2026, at the age of 97, Ruby Susan Thompson (Glasgow, Kentucky) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Ruby had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Ruby may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by: her husband William Fay Thompson; her parents, Willie Perry Wilshire and Mary Wilshire (Riordan); and her brother Buddy Wilshire. She is survived by: her sons, Ralph Thompson (Lachiel) and Steve Thompson (JoAnn). She is also survived by her three grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be make to the Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
