She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl B. Fraser and Mary Orlena Fraser; her husband Matthew Cary Hood; and her sisters, Jeanette Phillips (Hal), Virginia Janes (Tom B.) and Cora Fraser.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dr. Mary E. Hood of Metairie, Louisianna, Kelly Beals (Timothy) of Glasgow and Linda Jessee (Mike) of Louisville; her grandchildren, Kateland Long (Josh) of Munster, Matthew Beals (Katherine) of Bowling Green, Morgan McFarland (Daniel) of Louisville, Shelby Jessee of Louisville and Ella Jessee of Louisville; and her great grandchildren, Ruth Long, JP Long, Betsy Long and Andy Beals. She is also survived by several nieces, a nephew and many cousins.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home (201 E Washington St, Glasgow, KY 42141).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Sue Hood to Shanti Niketan Hospice Home or Glasgow Baptist Church.
