He was predeceased by : his parents, John Claywell and Electa Wade Claywell; his wife Betty J. Hardin Claywell; and his grandson Kevin Bartley. He is survived by : his children, Deborah Farley of Buckner and Michael Claywell (Gina) of Buckner; his grandchildren, Karen Bartley, Lindsay Viehmann and Kyle Claywell; his great grandchildren, Austin Willis and Allie Jeffries; and his great great grandchildren, Skylar Willis and Lyla Vickers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
